I have a few thoughts on just what has contributed heavily to this complete insult to manhood. Quite frankly its women's fault. But its not that simple to just say its women's fault. And I'm not talking about Adam and Eve. Hear me out:
ONE: The main reason this issue is so damn prevalent is because dudes are really still just playing the game.
They are shooting women all that emotional garbage thinking that's what they want to hear. Then you have these dehydrated broads that don't know their self-worth just accepting it, and it causes a big cycle of foolishness. As soon as women in general stop accepting it, guys will stop it. Love yourself first!
TWO: Females don't really know what the hell they want. Some do, but most don't. Or they have a gut feeling about what they want, but can't quite convey it in their actions. This is, in part, due to how media keeps portraying different fads in what's sexy; light skinned vs dark, educated vs street, etc. One minute women want a guy that's rough so they know he will protect them. The next minute they want a guy that will reassure and affirm them in order to boost their self confidence. Women have got to stop neglecting one for the other, there are guys out there that embody all those qualities...with balance. You don't have to be a thug to be strong, and you don't have to carry around a man purse to be in tuned to your woman's needs. Wake up.
THREE: Some dudes genuinely embody those...bitch qualities(for lack of a better word). Its human to have emotion, some dudes struggle with how to handle theirs. A huge reason for that is because women are so progressive. Want further explanation, check out "Women's REAL place is in the kitchen." That blog gives a suggestion as to why there is an abundance of these Spongebob and Patrick ass dudes. Someone has to do what women are neglecting by being corporate. Women are becoming strong and ambitious in all aspects of life, true. But for every overly confident, male bashing woman you get a Barney here, and a Spongebob over there. They negate each other. Balance has to be found, that's Biblical.
I hope that I have pricked a nerve with this message in hopes that you get mad enough to actually change some things. STOP letting dudes get away with this foolishness. To the women out there that are strong and enlightened keep up the good work and spread the word. If more women learned their true value, and displayed their disdain for the dumb stuff dudes do, society would be awesome! BYE
Love it! Just know that women can also possess a balance of the above mentioned characteristics. No need to put it all on the women though because I'm sure if you continue peeking back the layers, you may find that men are at the top of that cycle as well. Women grow up with father figures and brothers/cousins telling them they need a man's protection and not to be with "punks." Or better yet the fathers, cousins, brothers, uncles are perpetuating that cycle by showing the younger generation of males that the aforementioned foolish behavior is what is considered acceptable behavior or how a man should behave. It takes a village to raise a child - the men and women will have to reevaluate their roles equally. Changing one won't affect the other alone.

ReplyDeleteYou have valid points but where I came from on this topic is a current climate of social interactions. Yes, there are things instilled in us but hell this day and age ppl forget where they come from and just follow the crowd. Right now the crowd is on some foolish ish. I also believe everything happens in cycles; for decades the men dictated much of societal proceedings. But with the progression of women in society there has been a reduction in the gap of say-so between the genders. Also, the dating scene has changed, because the nature of living is adapting. Men and women listen to the opposite sex and figure out what the other wants. They do the things that generate the desired attention. If women, went on strike against men sagging....sagging would be just like the dinosaurs. If women demanded that guys were strong, classy, and ambitious...dudes would shape up. By women doing that, more men would do what is right and that would propel society in a better direction. You and I both have to agree that at the end of the day men run things superficically. More men run the govt, companies, etc. Think about the power of USes(black ppl), think about if more of us were positive...
