Women, we need your help!

There is no denying that dudes born in the 80s and later display far more umm.....fagacious tendencies than the men born earlier. There has been much speculation and debate as to just what happened. A good friend of mine has even taken time to lay out what she calls "The Struggle." It is quite an entertaining yet, informative piece. Most people will probably read it and get real defensive. THAT right there is the issue, people today are too quick to drown a situation with their emotional tsunamis instead of looking at things objectively. Anyway, give it a gander its worth your time.

I have a few thoughts on just what has contributed heavily to this complete insult to manhood. Quite frankly its women's fault. But its not that simple to just say its women's fault. And I'm not talking about Adam and Eve. Hear me out:

ONE: The main reason this issue is so damn prevalent is because dudes are really still just playing the game.

Women's REAL place is in the kitchen!!

Disclaimer: DO NOT read this if you aren't open-minded. I am far from a male chauvinist.

Prior to the 1800s women were married off by their families, they needed no personalities to get married. So, society consisted of  the men being bread winners, and women being nurturers. The man brings home the bacon, the woman cooks it. One day, a woman or two, got the idea that they want to bring home some bacon sometimes. Women wanted to prove that they had brains and were more than cooks, nanny's, and sex toys. What women didn't realize is that they threw off the socio-economic balance. Side thought: nature is made up of balance, if the women are doing what men were created to do initially, who is doing the women's?

My view is if women demand equality in the work place, that same equality should be applied in all aspects of life. This is because there will be no balance otherwise. I will address three topics: "I don't chase women, YOU better approach me", "Woman, YOU foot the bill", "Uhhh...how bout YOU take me shopping woman?!"

I don't chase women, YOU better approach me

Bottom line is, if you see something/someone that catches your attention you need to go for it. There are many expressions about missing out on something from lack of assertiveness; "Have not, 'cause you ask not," "Closed mouths don't get fed," "You don't work, you don't eat." The common thread here is you can't expect anything if you don't put forth effort in getting it. What if you notice a guy, but he just hasn't noticed you? It doesn't make you a floozy for going after what you want, its all in presentation. It could be as simple as striking up a conversation.

Woman, YOU foot the bill!

We are on a date, I agree a man should handle the bill...in the '40s. One thing I agree on about dates is that one person pays, that's what makes it a date. A woman can handle the bill sometimes, in fact, guys find it more attractive when a woman so much as offers. It is a huge turnoff for a woman to think a man has to treat her in everything. The main objective is to spend time together, don't get wrapped up in the money. The person that spends all their money on you may not be the one that can sustain your attention, mental needs, and physical needs in a long term situation.

Uhhh...how bout YOU take me shopping woman?!

Very similar to the aforementioned subject. Guys like things too, its that simple. Guys are human, and want to be shown that someone cares about them. What pleasure can a guy get from tricking off money, nothing REAL. Something as simple as a woman using something of hers to treat her man speaks volumes about how she feels about him.

If we are going to buck the system, we must embrace the consequences(consequence is not a negative word). Just find balance.

Tired of being real

For the last decade or so there has been an outbreak of self-proclaimed realness. We have all heard some one say "I keep it real," maybe "I keep it all the way real," for you math wizards "I keep it 100." All of these we derived from the classic "on everything I love" phrase. The intent of such phrases is to gain the listeners' trust and respect. I have no issue with this at all, in fact, I appreciate someone being considerate enough of me to assure me that they won't lie to me...THANK YOU!
